🇺🇸 Major Douglas A. Zembiec (1973–2007)
A two-time NCAA All-American wrestler at the U.S. Naval Academy, Major Zembiec compiled a 95–21–1 record and was renowned for his exceptional physical fitness. He served in the U.S. Marine Corps from 1997 until his death in 2007 during a raid in Baghdad. Posthumously, he was honored with a star on the CIA Memorial Wall and awarded the 2008 NCAA Award of Valor.

🇺🇸 Bill Combs (1918–1945)
An All-American wrestler at the University of Michigan, Combs enlisted in the U.S. Marine Corps the day after Pearl Harbor. He was killed during the invasion of Iwo Jima in 1945. Combs was posthumously inducted into the University of Michigan Athletic Hall of Honor in 1986.

🇺🇸 Peter Blair (1932–1994)
A two-time NCAA champion at the U.S. Naval Academy and Olympic bronze medalist in 1956, Blair served as a career naval officer after retiring from wrestling. He was inducted into the National Wrestling Hall of Fame in 2009.

These individuals exemplify the profound connection between collegiate wrestling and military service, demonstrating courage and dedication both on the mat and in defense of our nation.
