Thank you to everyone who joined us this weekend for Jane's Walk: Assembly Row – A Historical Perspective! 🚶‍♀

In partnership with the Somerville Museum, participants explored the rich history of Assembly Square, tracing its transformation from a hub of transportation and industry to the vibrant waterfront neighborhood we know today.

Along the way, we learned about the area's historic connections to the Mystic River, the legacy of the Ford Assembly Plant, and the evolution of Assembly Row's public spaces. It was a wonderful opportunity to connect with our community while gaining a deeper appreciation for the history that shaped this neighborhood.

A special thank you to the Somerville Museum for sharing their expertise and helping bring Assembly Square's story to life as part of May Preservation Month.

Join Assembly Connect’s Ride Ready Bike Series for a guided Community Mural Bike Ride from Assembly to East Somerville on Sunday, June 14th from 11 AM – 12:30 PM!

Cruise through the neighborhood, connect with fellow riders, and explore vibrant murals and public art along the way. Local artist Liz LaManche will join the ride to share stories and insights behind the artwork, adding an extra layer of creativity and inspiration to the experience.

Join us for Jane’s Walk: Assembly Row – A Historical Perspective, a FREE guided walking tour exploring the transformation of this waterfront neighborhood over time.
 
Beginning at our retail office space, the walk will trace Assembly Square’s evolution from early transportation routes and industrial landmarks to the vibrant mixed-use district we know today. Stops along the way will highlight the historic Ford Assembly Plant, the Mystic River, and the public spaces of Assembly Row.
