Today at , Form Energy and Crusoe announced a strategic supply agreement to deliver 12 gigawatt-hours of multi-day energy storage systems to support the rapidly growing power needs of AI data centers starting in 2027.

The agreement ensures access to Form Energy’s 100-hour iron-air battery technology as Crusoe scales its AI infrastructure, supporting utility growth, insulating ratepayers from cost increases, and strengthening grid reliability.

All battery systems will be manufactured at Form Factory 1 in Weirton, WV, supporting American jobs and reinforcing U.S. leadership in advanced energy manufacturing.

This builds on Form Energy’s recent announcement with Xcel Energy and Google to deploy a 30 GWh iron-air battery system supporting a new data center in Minnesota — together highlighting the growing role of multi-day energy storage in unlocking new grid capacity and enabling faster speed-to-power for AI infrastructure.

As AI demand continues to grow, partnerships like these will be critical to ensuring the U.S. can lead in the AI–energy nexus.
