I was commissioned to build two rods, one Iowa Hawkeye themed and the other Iowa State themed by a local company to raise funds for the Associated General Contractors of Iowa. My experience with individuals wanting to use custom fishing rods to raise money has not been great, and usually barely got back what I had invested. This one was different.
