I have a dream that someday people will realize just how vital drivers are to our everyday lives! It would only take 3 days for the entire nation to shutdown without truck drivers... I know most think that sounds crazy but look it up.

The economy depends on drivers making money. They have no choice but to spend their money on the road, in restaurants, small shops, and other locally owned businesses. When the drivers aren't making money, our economy takes the hit.

Freight hasn't slowed down, yet rates are down... As the mega carriers continue to monopolize and take freight at cost, they have put numerous small carriers/family owned companies out of business. That way the don't have to pay their drivers more money, as there are less places to go drive for. The company Ma Bell comes to mind... But, hopefully, it does not come to that!

Think about that before you drive for a mega fleet or hire a mega fleet. Competition makes America great, without it they form an oligarchy.
