J. Aaron LLC
Just another day as a woodworker. Finishing booth in the morning, on site by the afternoon. This run is a set of walnut countertops getting their last coat of satin conversion varnish before they go into the kitchen they were built for.
The finish is the part most people never think about. Conversion varnish is a tough, two-part coating, and it's what lets a wood top hold up in a real working kitchen for years. Satin is just the sheen, a soft low shine rather than a high gloss. On walnut, that final coat is the moment the grain really comes alive.

Hey all, Josh here. This is the first time I've properly shown up on here, so it feels right to start with who's actually behind J.Aaron. That's my wife in the photo with me.
I've been building custom wood countertops out of our Atlanta workshop since 2006. These days we also do cabinetry and hollow box beams, with a small crew I trust to get it right.
We've never really posted much. Figured it was time to fix that. I'll be showing you the team behind J.Aaron, how we actually build this stuff, the wood we pick, the jobs we've got going, and answering the questions people are usually too shy to ask.
Real wood. Real craft. Built to last.
