Real Model Designs

In 2019 the RMI Designs team completed a 8' x 20' model showcasing the Atlanta's Connector Park for the Midtown Connector Project Foundation & Dan T. Cathy. An update to the model showcased the actual plan for the park laying over the I-75/I-85 Junction in Midtown Atlanta.

This model was on display at the Chick-fil-A College Football Hall of Fame in Downtown Atlanta for the MCP Stakeholder Breakfast back in early January of 2022.

The plans includes adding 3 roads across the park, an amphitheater, 2 ponds, a pavilion, a lookout tower, a walking trail, a restaurant, a new gymnasium for GA Tech, and hotels on either end. This project would allow a connection between the two sides of Midtown Atlanta, allowing for safer passage across the highway.

Connector Park ATL

With more than a few iterations for the Fifth+Broadway model, this scene showcases the main walkway from 5th Ave. N in towards the development. With lots of retail shops and restaurants, this walkway is designed for people to enjoy Music City.

As part of Newport RE LP's investment plan into South Downtown Atlanta's development, the RMI Designs team completed a masterplan of the buildings Newport had chosen to redevelop in 2019. This model was completed at a 1/32" = 1'-0" scale and was received updates in 2021. Developed by the Newport RE LP a German real estate giant, and designed by Design Collective.
