I do complete teardowns and rebuild of your tools.

Here's what happens when you bring in your gear to the shop.

I assess if the tool can be taken apart. Most of the time, the only way to sharpen the blade is to remove it.
Once all the parts are separated, I go ahead and clean off all the rust, dirt, and grime with a wire wheel or brush. After that, everything gets put aside and I get working on the blade.

I take the blade over to the 1x30 belt sander and create a new bevel usually with a 120 grit belt, grinding past any nicks or chips. Once a burr is formed, I start down the belt progression, ending with burr removal with a strop.

Everything then gets put back together. I lubricate all joints with white lithium grease and spray everything down with a thin coating of WD40.

I love the transformation and my customers get better than new performance for another season!
