NOTE: This Saturday afternoon, the Slidell Civil Air Patrol Wing will be hosting and event at the Slidell Airport. Get a good breakfast at the Lions Club, then head out to the Slidell Airport for a fun and interesting afternoon.

The Slidell Noon Lions Club has a long and prestigious history in Slidell, Louisiana. From acting as the 𝘈𝘥 𝘏𝘰𝘤 St. Tammany Chamber of Commerce From the 1930 until the 1960s; to purchasing and installing all of the street signs and public playground equipment for decades; to getting residential phones service and mail service started in Slidell.

The Slidell Lions Club had had a huge impact on many aspects of life here in Slidell. It is Slidell's oldest community service organization, The second oldest Lions Club in Louisiana (only Shreveport is older), and one of the oldest in the country/world. The Slidell Lions Club serves the local community in many, many ways. "We Serve."

Dr. Polk was a founding member of the Slidell Lions Club in 1928. He was on the Lions committee responsible for getting residential phone serve started in Slidell. He received the first residential phone at his home on First Street.
