It's the final countdown!

These last few months have been a challenge. Sorry you haven't heard from me, but all my focus has been on my health. The great news is, baby girl will be here ANY DAY!

For all those who've been keeping me busy with online orders, thank you! The bookstore thrives because of you.

An important update though: As you continue to place your orders, if you encounter a delay in processing time, just know that means it's go-time and I'm in the hospital.

I aim to keep the shop functioning without any noticeable hold-ups, but just in case...

I know, I know. I’ve been missing in action the past several weeks. Trust me when I say I miss you all and wish I was at the top of my game with everything. So how am I?

—Very pregnant and exhausted. I’m at 30 weeks now and am focusing on my health to keep me and baby going strong. That’s meant lots of bed rest I don’t want and the stubborn acceptance that I can’t do all the things right now. It’s been a struggle.

—Very grateful. My family’s been taking care of me. Friends have been checking in. And you readers have been keeping the online store busy. I’ve gotten to ship books all over the country, fulfill special orders, and secure your much-anticipated preorders. Keep ‘em coming!

—Very lucky. For all of the above and for the opportunity to keep this indie shop alive and well. I know things look differently now, but support for independent bookstores is strong, and that’s what today is all about!
