Come with me behind-the-scenes of the giveaway maternity shoot!
I’m sharing this moment and my story, not because I want apologies or for people to sympathize with me, but because it was a special moment for me and I realized how blessed I truly am. It’s easy for me to talk about it with people that already know. I haven’t had to talk about my miscarriage with someone I don’t know, much less someone who has the same due date that I would have had. And I’m thankful that Jesus has given me unthinkable peace and comfort through this. Because leading up to this session, I was nervous that I would have had bitterness and jealousy in my heart the moment I started shooting. Because regardless of my intentions, I still occasionally think “I should be having my maternity session right now too and be so big and close to birth that I shouldn’t be doing this shoot at all” and for a split second, I feel a type of way and then it’s gone. The sadness and grief is still there, but the anger and jealousy is gone. But I give all the glory and praise to Jesus because the opposite happened.
This turned out to be my favorite maternity shoot, and looking back, God orchestrated her to win my maternity giveaway drawing to show me just how good He is, He’s always with me, and to always turn to Him when things are tough.
