We’re proud to share that we have received a $1,000 grant from the Sitka Legacy Foundation, an Affiliate of the Alaska Community Foundation along with a $2,000 matching grant from the Alaska Community Foundation through its Nourished Communities Initiative. These funds will support our Community Food Pantry and help us continue serving anyone in need, no questions asked. Pictured is our Community Coordinator, Martina Kurzer, holding a food box.

Our friendly community ambassador John F. Weitkamp will be back at AC Lakeside this Monday, April 27, from 4pm - 6pm. Stop by to talk with him about our work to support Sitka. He can tell you about how we leveraged local donations to make $15,000 in grants for local food security this month.

Thanks to our friends at First Bank for increasing our ability support to good causes! We received $8,750 through the Member Impact Fund of the Federal Home Loan Bank of Des Moines, which provides a 3-1 matching grant opportunity that allows member financial institutions to support community development and affordable housing. These funds will expand our grant making capacity in 2026. Special thanks to Sarah Allison for her advocacy on behalf of our mission.
