ANNOUNCING THE APRIL RESCUE OF THE MONTH:
Adopt A Husky Minnestota (AAHMN)
Abandoning Dogs

In April 2022, +18 dogs, including puppies, were abandoned along Ash River Trail between Orr and Kabetogama. One of these dogs was the extraordinary Khione. When she first came into Adopt a Husky Minnesota’s care, she was shy and one of the most shut-down dogs we had rescued from Ash River Trail. She would hardly look her foster mom in the eyes. Looking at sweet Khione “Kiki” now, you’d never think her story was so sad. Seeing the most recent video posted by her foster mom shows Kiki running around and having the zoomies; you’d never guess she was the same dog!

While the others have all gone to their forever homes, Kiki remains. On April 23, 2023, she will have been in rescue for precisely a year. While her foster family adores her, it’s time for her to find her people. She is a sweet and kind girl looking for a patient and easy-going family! She must be in a single dog home without little kids, as they still make her nervous. Check out our page for updates on Kiki and other available huskies!

Adopt A Husky Minnesota is an all-volunteer nonprofit 501(c)3 breed-specific rescue dedicated to the welfare of displaced Siberian Huskies and is committed to providing the highest level of care through fostering, rehabilitation, medical care, extensive breed education to not only adopters but the general public and ultimately proper placement into a forever home. Help us help them!
