Mitchell House partners with all three local hospice agencies, offers Residential Care Services, and provides short-term respite stays for caregivers who need a break.

What is Residential Care?

Residential care provides support for individuals who need assistance with daily activities in a comfortable, home-like setting. Our team can provide:
❤️ Assistance with bathing, dressing, and toileting
💊 Medication assistance
🩹 Select wound care services, depending on the individual’s needs and level of care
🍽️ Home-cooked meals and snacks
🏡 24-hour staff support and supervision

Mitchell House can provide many of the same services you would find in a nursing home or assisted living community, but in a warm, home-like environment. We are an intentionally small, 10-bed home, allowing us to focus on what matters most—providing personalized, compassionate care and building meaningful relationships with every resident and their family.

Are you looking for a meaningful way to give back to your community? Mitchell House is seeking compassionate volunteers to help support our residents and families.

We are currently looking for volunteers who would enjoy:

🍪 Cooking and Baking – Preparing meals, treats, and comfort foods for residents and families.

🚪 Greeters – Answering phones, welcoming visitors, and helping create a warm and inviting environment.

🤝 Resident Companionship – Visiting with residents, reading, playing games, sharing stories, or simply providing a friendly presence.

Whether you can volunteer a few hours a month or a few hours a week, your time can make a difference in someone’s day.
