Men Imitating Christ - MIC
03/07/2023
We are looking forward in seeing you there.
Come out to the Beast Feast
The credit belongs to the man who was actually in the arena
Who’s face is marred with dust, blood, sweat and tears.
Not the cold imitation souls in the stands that know neither
Victory nor defeat.
It does not matter about the spectators that are just watching.
What right do they have they are only watching. They have
No skin in the game.
Stop letting people rule over your day and let
God run your day.
Isaiah 61:3b
Worship is like putting on a coat. It’s cold outside, raining it’s snowing. Does the coat change the weather? No, the coat changes how you are in the weather.
Worship is the way you clothe yourself for a discouraging world. Worship is the way you change your focus and push aside the worrying and discouraging you have of the world and start lifting up who Jesus is.
Put Him back on the throne of your life and you say “You are King and I am following you!” I believe You’re sovereignly controlling all of this, and I don’t know how it is all going to work out. But
As you elevate Jesus and worship Him. It is like putting on a coat and the very same conditions and circumstances that were crushing you yesterday, becomes something you can thrive in today.
Cause and effect?
What causes you from getting the fullness of what God has to offer? Do you go forward to a point (maybe tip your toes) and turn back and never reach the fullness of His offering?
It would be like needing something at the store. You get up get in the car and drive, half way there you decide to turn back, and you never get there. And day after day you do the same thing with the same results still not getting to the store and getting what you need.
Well what God is offering is something you cannot be without. It’s hard to believe we really need something we cannot see, fell or touch. But as you walk toward Him and don’t turn back you realize He has what you’re looking for and it is a free gift. Free gift, you think how can this be free, what no strings attached? No, no strings attached just believe, just accept His salvation from you sins.
Then you accept this gift of salvation and you see there is more to the offer. A sense of love like you never had before a fullness of life a relief of your sadness and so much more. You think why, why did I turn back all those other times.
Then an internal struggle ensues while you are just beginning your walk with Him. You realize you are not accepted by everyone when you’re like this and some of your old friends no longer come around and just drop off the radar. So you step back analyze rethink what you’re doing, even question it. Should I go any further? Should I throw my whole self into to His arms? I accepted, I acknowledge He is my savior that’s enough right? Why do I need to do anything else?
The He shows you something or puts someone in your path that helps you understand and get over that “turn back” time of your walk. I use path because there are times He puts that person on the same path you are walking on to support you show you comfort and then your paths go in different directions yet both going for and reach for the same goal, a Heavenly relationship with Him. Who knows maybe you intervened in their walk and decision to turn back to the old ways.
Paul wrote the book of Romans and talks about faith,
Romans 5:1 Therefore, since we have been justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ.
Faith a hard walk for some and others it come naturally. What it really is, is one step at a time always looking forward and knowing He is there with you know matter what. I have struggled with my external faith at time and out of nowhere someone is there to help me understand more about the path I am on.
