Growth comes not just from taking in knowledge, but in taking action based in that knowledge. It’s not just the KNOWING, but the DOING that brings about positive change. ⚡️
If you've been following me for a while, you know I like to read. I do a pretty sizable amount of reading. Reading new books is like getting all of someone’s life lessons downloaded to my brain. It launches my understanding further and faster.
It’s pretty easy to take in a steady stream of information and ideas. I can get so caught up in the learning—collecting details, finding the answers, generating lists of new ideas, accumulating facts and figures, Googling every.single.thing. 😆
If you’re into the world, the learner/input strengths are totally in my top five.
..But I’ve realized this year that there is a critical element missing in my growth—INTENTIONAL ACTION. 😬
I have kept coming back to INTENTIONAL ACTION this year over and over again. I take action on ideas every day, but it's a hodge podge—unfocused, not part of a larger plan.
What if I could leverage my collected ideas into growth and change by FOCUSING ON TAKING INTENTIONAL ACTION?
I mean, if I don’t do anything with the knowledge I’ve taken in, the knowledge might as well be useless to me, right??
Moving forward, making a plan for taking INTENTIONAL ACTION will factor heavily in my learning and growth strategies. After all, taking action is in itself a valuable form of learning. And that’s something I can totally get behind!
What do you think? Is action necessary for growth? Help me out—if action is your strength, how do you incorporate taking action into your plans?
