We want to thank our partners, whose work has been so vital at every stage of the dapivirine ring’s development and preparing for its introduction.

Getting the ring to this point required tenacity and long-standing global collaboration. We and our partners stayed focused because the stakes are so high for women.

This web story follows the journey we traveled together to make our vision for the monthly ring a reality. We’re so excited that Population Council will carry the dapivirine ring program and IPM’s mission forward.

In 2002, we set out to expand women’s HIV prevention choices, so they have the options they need to protect their sexual and reproductive health.
