Vivace Children's Chorus

Summer plans just got more fun. 🎵 Vivace Summer Explorers is a great way for your rising K–4 grader to try out choir — three Wednesday evenings of singing, movement, and musical play. No auditions, no experience needed. Just come sing with us! 🎶

Another highlight of this tour: a workshop with Tunisian musicians who play traditional instruments. You can see Aksel trying the rebab and Charley playing the oud with a feather. They also tried to teach us quarter tone singing! Thanks to and .mehdi for sharing their talents with us! Absolutely amazing musicians in this group.

What an amazing experience! Vivace singers got to perform with the same Tunisian singers in who came to Silver Spring in 2025, this time in Tunis! They sang “Zaytouna” (Olive Tree), which was written for them by Selima Terras, as well as “Enty” and “Baba Yetu.” The rehearsal in the afternoon was so bright that everyone needed sunglasses, and then it was almost dark when the kids performed. They overcame all the challenges and sang their hearts out. Congratulations to our Vivace singers!

For their final day in Rome, Vivace singers got to perform in a historic church built in the fifth century. They also made sure to sample Italian pizza and pasta!

Our first day in Tunis! Vivace singers got to explore the Medina.

What a day!! Vivace singers performed “Dona Nobis Pacem” with the Arlington Chorale at a Mass at St. Peter’s Basilica in Rome. The line to get through security was way too long, so the singers got special permission to cut the line and get right in so they’d be there in time to sing. Such an honor to sing at this historic holy basilica!
