The courts are officially open!

What a fantastic day at our Grand Opening Celebration for our newly dedicated and expanded pickleball courts!

Thanks to the support of our partner JOOLA USA eager players and fans enjoyed pro coaching, live play, popsicle treats, and the opportunity to demo exclusive red, white, and blue pickleball paddles.

We’re especially grateful that proceeds from the day will help support the Y’s Pickleball for Parkinson’s program, creating opportunities for more people to improve their health and well-being through movement and community.

Today, the YMCA of Metropolitan Washington joins our community in recognizing Juneteenth, commemorating June 19, 1865, when news of freedom reached the last enslaved people in the United States.

We take time to recognize this important moment in our nation's history and celebrate the history, culture, and contributions of Black Americans that continue to strengthen our communities and enrich our shared experience.

At the Y, we remain committed to creating welcoming spaces where everyone can learn, grow, and belong.

Join us for an exciting morning of pickleball, community, and fun as we officially unveil our newest courts and celebrate the growth of pickleball in the region! We'll even enjoy a visit from the JOOLA Pops Mobile Tour with paddle demos and free popsicle treats.
