10 Myths About the COVID-19 Vaccine For Kids, Busted By Pediatricians Doctors at Chicago's Advocate Children’s Hospital bust 10 myths related to the COVID-19 vaccine for children in an effort to stop the spread of misinformation.

Dear East Silver Spring PTA community,

As a PTA board, we condemn and abhor all forms of racism -- including institutional -- and police aggression against communities of color. Our hearts, thoughts, and efforts remain united behind the family impacted by the Jan. 2020 incident involving a five-year-old student and two police officers.

We know that there are many questions about Sunday’s planned march from our school grounds to Veterans Plaza to protest police brutality. We have reached out to the attorneys of the family directly impacted and have not yet received direct confirmation of their wishes regarding the march and how they would best appreciate support from the PTA.

As such, while we support the sentiments regarding institutional racism highlighted by this march, at this time, we cannot take an official stance on participation.

We absolutely respect each PTA member’s right to attend.

In the meantime, we remain committed to working on helping create longstanding change in our school community through anti racism and anti bias dialogue and building and strengthening relationships and understanding. Our next steps will include creating a parent advisory council to keep us all honest on matters of race, socioeconomics, and cultural differences in our school community. We look forward to hearing from and working with you as we continue to take these steps.
