Being a firefighter, EMS provider, police officer is inherently dangerous. There is always potential risk on every call. This is why it is extremely heartbreaking when we lose a first responder.

Master Firefighter Higgins passed away in the line of duty on Saturday January 11th while operating at a house fire in Prince Georges County. Master Firefighter Higgins was a 23 year veteran of the fire service and was assigned to Fire Station 15 in Burtonsville at the time of his passing. Master Firefighter Higgins leaves behind his Wife and two daughters. MFF Higgins had an unmatched love and dedication to the job that will be sorely missed by everyone who had the pleasure of meeting and working with him.
