What if one of the most important emergency response centers in your community is your local church?
Churches have the relationships, trust, and presence to make a meaningful difference when disaster strikes. With preparation and partnership, they can help bring hope, care, and support when it's needed most.

"You have relieved us of a huge burden."
Those were the words of Sira Diarra, a headmistress in Mali whose school saw the number of displaced students more than double in just one year.
Through ADRA's Education in Emergencies project, new classrooms, school uniforms, sanitation facilities, and psychosocial support helped create a better future for hundreds of children. Together, we're helping ensure that crisis doesn't stop a child from learning.

When young people have the right tools, they can build their own path forward. 📱
Through ADRA’s vocational workshops in Honduras, youth are learning mobile phone repair skills that provide new ways to earn an income, support their families, and strengthen their communities.
This is what Youth Skills Day is all about: empowering young people with skills that lead to opportunity, independence, and hope.

The road to recovery in Venezuela is just beginning.
In the days since the devastating earthquakes, ADRA teams have been on the ground, walking alongside families who have lost homes, loved ones, and a sense of normalcy. Together with local partners, we've begun distributing hygiene kits, providing water purification support, delivering food assistance, and creating safe spaces for vulnerable children and families.
Every kit delivered, every conversation shared, and every act of compassion is a reminder that no one should face disaster alone.
Thank you for praying, giving, and standing with the people of Venezuela. Your support is helping bring hope, dignity, and practical care to communities taking their first steps toward healing. 💚

Every child deserves someone who believes in their future. 💚 Who was that person for you? Let us know in the comments.Â
For Nuseyba, that person was her mother.
When Fadumo saw her daughter Nuseyba walk to school in her uniform, she cried. After years of displacement and uncertainty, and as the mother of a child with a hearing impairment, she never imagined that moment would become reality.
Today, through inclusive education programs supported by ADRA Somalia, Nuseyba is learning, growing, and thriving in a classroom where she truly belongs.
Because education doesn’t just change one child’s future—it transforms generations. When girls have the opportunity to learn, families are strengthened, communities flourish, and hope grows.
