Scaling for Beginners

- There are two ways to scale your advertising: Increase the budget on existing ad-sets or duplicate ad-sets with a higher budget. Both work depending on the ad account.

- To increase budget on an ad-set, you can raise the budget by up to 50% on any given day. Leave it for a few days to optimise.

- To duplicate the ad-set, duplicate it at double the old ad-set budget. Leave the existing ad-set running. Leave it for a few days to optimise. This method is preferred.

**How to analyse FB ad results?**

Once your ads are running, it’s extremely important that you sit back and wait for data to come in. Do not sit there refreshing your stats all day.

As a general rule, you need to wait 3-4 days before analysing your results and making your next moves. The FB algorithm takes time to learn who your customers are. Your performance should improve over time.

The key metrics you need to analyse are:

1. Link CTR - Ideally over 1%
2. Cost Per Link Click - Ideally under $1.
3. Cost Per Purchase - Ideally profitable/break even.

Revenue - Cost Of Goods/Shipping = Profit Margin.
e.g $30 revenue - $10 product/shipping = $20 profit margin.

The only metric that really matters is your Cost Per Purchase. However, the Link CTR and Link CPC precedes this and helps you understand it better.
