I love C.S. Lewis for a million reasons. But I only recently discovered the millionth and one reason to love him even more: his stand against CHRONOLOGICAL SNOBBERY.
Lewis defines this chronological snobbery as “the uncritical acceptance of the intellectual climate of our own age and the assumption that whatever has gone out of date is on that count discredited.” Simply put, it's the unfounded sense of superiority of today's citizens when they compare themselves to their more 'primitive' ancestors.
Ugh! Lewis was a man for all seasons and all ages. It's almost like he could read the future, our present. Does this sense of superiority sound familiar?!?! Let me just give you some quick reminders: rewriting history, suppressing the existence of entire historical periods, vandalism of historical monuments, deriding classical literature, ......
You will not find any chronological snobbery in our courses, current or future. Thank you, C.S. Lewis!

I LOVE challenging my mind and competing against myself!!!
I am in the process of planning a World History course that I will be teaching this year for the B&M homeschool tutorial of which I've been a part for over 3 years. I'm very excited, to say the least, especially that it's the first time this course is being taught there and I'm crafting it.
But we can't learn history without knowing geography. So I will be using this world geography quiz from Quizly.co. to assess the geographical knowledge of my incoming students.

I really enjoyed it and I still have more to learn/revisit. I only scored 76%. How about you? Have fun with it, and keep learning.
