We're excited to welcome Aaron Atkinson, MSW, and Brian Silvea to the Maryland Inclusive Housing Board of Directors!

Aaron brings decades of nonprofit leadership as President and CEO of People Encouraging People (PEP), while Brian offers the invaluable perspective of lived experience. After first connecting with MIH as a client, Brian secured affordable, accessible housing in Howard County and now lives independently in Laurel.

Together, they bring the expertise, passion, and commitment that will help advance MIH's mission of expanding inclusive, affordable housing opportunities for Marylanders with intellectual and developmental disabilities.

On May 27, elected officials, candidates, housing leaders, disability advocates, and community members gathered in Sparks for the Baltimore County Inclusive Housing Forum, hosted by Maryland Inclusive Housing (MIH) and Richcroft, Inc.

A highlight of the forum was a presentation from Baltimore County Government Office of Housing (BCOH) Executive Director Kenyatta Green, who discussed the importance of comprehensive landlord engagement in addressing housing challenges across the county. Green shared her vision for creating a collaborative space where landlords, tenants, stakeholders, and community partners can openly discuss concerns, exchange ideas, and work together on practical solutions.

She emphasized that stronger communication and partnerships are key to expanding housing stability, affordability, and access for all Baltimore County residents.
