Ideally, the wastewater that goes through your septic systems drain field should be absorbed very quickly, fast enough that you don’t even notice it. If you’re seeing any sogginess or dampness in your drain field, then it could benefit from a repair.

In areas that have wet soils or that have subsurface or surface groundwater, intercept drains (or curtain drains) can be installed that will counter the effects of these conditions and allow the drain field to better accept effluent.
