Point Bonita is the only lighthouse in America that you have to access via suspension bridge! ☺️ Sadly, the bridge is currently closed for repairs; however, you can still go on the beautiful hike that leads right up to it! ⚠️ You have to walk through a bored-out tunnel to get close to the lighthouse, which is only open periodically. The last entry through the tunnel is 3:20 pm. And the hours in general are very short! 🗓️ They are open Thursday - Monday, 12:30 - 3:30 pm. Starting October 1st, the lighthouse will also be closed on Thursdays. 🥾 Hike Details: Point Bonita Lighthouse - Distance: 1 mile - Time: 30 minutes - Type: Out and back - Elevation: 203 Enjoy the beautiful ocean views, San Francisco Bay, harbor seals, and Golden Gate Bridge.
