Finished this one today, after many hours! This is h**pwood on an Apollo closed end pen. Hempwood is an engineered product, where h**p fibers are broken down into individual strands and then glued together using binders, heat, and pressure.

Finished a new duck call. This one is pretty unique. Its a mixture of black resin, and a material called fordite. Fordite is basically layers and layers of paint from the floor of a paint booth. It stacks up on itself and gets scraped up when the booth is cleaned. Very difficult material to work with, as it wants to chip and fly apart if not worked slow and smooth. The red band and red echo calls insert finish this one off.

Just finished this one. I don't work with this material often as it's expensive and likes to explode while turning it. It is called "fordite" and is basically layers of automotive paint scraped up off the paint booth floor. This one had a mishap that i was able to salvage, thankfully!

Custom request from a customer, using his Ashton band. Body is Bocote wood with a resin end to simulate ember/ash. Pen is an Artemis chrome rollerball.

Just finished a new call, custom request for a local friend. This one is buckeye burl and blue resin hybrid. Insert is an echo calls open water.
