Cory Long
Fear Is a Terrible CEO
If fear wasn’t making the decision for you, what would you actually do?
Cory Long reminds us that fear has a way of disguising itself as wisdom. It tells us safety is the goal, waiting is the strategy, and comfort is the calling.
But for so many of us, the breakthrough we’re praying for is sitting on the other side of the thing we’re afraid to do.
Your faith, your business, your relationships, your community, your ministry, all of it could look different if fear stopped leading the way.
Fear makes a terrible CEO. It was never meant to run your life.

People talk about risk like taking action is the dangerous option, but staying stuck can wreck a life too. It can quietly rob years from you while nothing dramatic seems to happen. That is what makes it so dangerous. No big crash. No obvious failure. Just slow drift. Slow delay. Slow shrinking. Then one day you look up and realize you built your whole life around avoiding discomfort. That is not caution. That is loss with better language. You cannot keep trading your future for temporary relief.
Me saying I want growth, then sprinting back to my comfort zone the second things feel uncertain.
