The news of our demise has been greatly exaggerated!!

We have been having some MAJOR issues with our phones/voicemail for the last few months. We are working with Verizon and slowly getting to the bottom of them, but we are still having problems with calls not coming through and voicemails disappearing into thin air before we ever get them.

Pouring Fats, Oil and Grease, or FOG for short, is not only bad for your pipes, but it literally fills and kills your septic tanks and leach field or aerobic system components. It doesn’t break down. It turns into a hard white chalky layer and stays until you have it pumped out.

Common sources of FOG in your septic include:
- kitchen sink or dishwasher: cooking oils, ground beef pour-off liquid (ie hamburger grease), bacon or sausage fat, any other meat fat, butter, cream, other fatty foods/liquids, food scraps, etc. either poured down the drain or left on pots, pans, plates, etc.
- tub/shower: conditioners, hair oils, body oils, lotions
laundry: FOG on dirty laundry, liquid fabric softener
commode: Poo-pourri and other “before you go” sprays
