🐍💻Sharing CRAZY Pet stories from the internet, Pt. 2:
“My 8 year old kingsnake tried to eat himself once… 😳

🐍He has never really been the brightest snake, he didn’t figure out how to constrict prey until he was 6 or so (he only eats pre killed food for his own safety). Despite his constriction short comings he has always been a good eater.

🐁One evening I thawed out a bunch of frozen rats and mice for all the snakes, and went to feed him. Opened the tank, started to lower a mouse in and he comes dashing out of a hide super excited for food, strikes at the mouse but barely misses. Then he turns around, sees his own butt moving and strikes again, this time with perfect accuracy. He then proceeded to try to constrict himself while simultaneously trying to shake off whatever was biting his butt while the wife and I watched dumbstruck.

🤨I thought he would figure it out and let go, but he just kept seizing around the tank not letting go of himself. I had to reach in a grab him which startled him enough to let go. He eventually found his mouse and ate it, and didn’t injure himself at all. He is our special boy.” 💚
