Anger, anxiousness, sadness, jealousy, fear, disappointed, discouraged, ashamed, defensive, desperate...
These feelings don't last.
View your feelings as you would see waves on the ocean. They come and they go.
Rather than stewing in the feelings. what if you were able to view emotions as waves hitting the beach that will inevitably break and then recede back into the ocean? Whether the waves are big or small, they all break, and they all recede.
Trying to stop a wave from breaking is nearly impossible. However, accepting that the emotions arise and noticing how they come and go are key steps of being mindful of your emotions. You can acknowledge the emotion as it appears, and also observe it as it dissipates.
See if you can watch the waves as they come to shore, noticing how big each “emotional wave" is, how frequently the waves are breaking, how your own experience is changing from moment to moment.

I get this question a lot:
Isn't meditation the same as mindfulness?
The quick answer is no, meditation is only one practice we can use to become more mindful.
Mindfulness can be practiced anytime, anywhere and it can be some of the most common everyday (seemingly boring) tasks.
Let me know which one you are going to try, or which activities you like to do mindfully - so I can add them to Part 2 😁❤️

As simple as this may seem, how many of these are you doing on a daily basis?
Most of the time people think that mindfulness consists only of meditation practice, that could not be further from the truth.
Mindfulness can be practiced with any activity - as long as you are completely present. This means that while you do any of the activities on the list, you are only focusing on that and not thinking about anything else, nor judging, or analyzing the activity.
Complete all of or most of these activities on a daily basis and watch your life change.
🛏Getting up earing and making your bed = Discipline
🏞Spending time outside = Contentment & Grounding
📵Have a phone free hour = Focus
📚Making time to read a book = Growth
👫Do something for someone = Selflessness
✍️Write down what your grateful for = Gratitude
Are you going to try this? Let me know what other activities can be added to the list.
Finally, share and save this. 💜
