It's quiet at the moment, but that won't last long.
Tomorrow at 8 a.m., we will start Company Ops Day with students and instructors from all across the region. They will call Shell K**b home for the day. Participants will be part of engine, truck, rescue, and officer tactics and revolutions.

🚒 Your vote can shape the future of your fire department. 🗳
On Tuesday, August 4, 2026, voters in the Central Crossing Fire Protection District will decide on Proposition Fire, a bond measure to fund rebuilding existing stations, updating an aging fleet of apparatus, and implementing firefighter safety upgrades.
Election Day: August 4, 2026 | Polls open 6 AM - 7 PM
If passed, Proposition Fire would fund:
- Two new fire stations to replace aging, undersized facilities
- New brush trucks and rescue truck to modernize our existing fleet
- Gear decontamination areas and showers to reduce firefighter cancer risk
- Payoff of existing equipment leases, freeing up the operating budget
This is a bond measure, not a permanent tax increase. When the bonds are paid off, the associated levy will no longer exist.

Central Crossing Fire is monitoring strong to severe weather moving into the district. Those outdoors and especially out in the lake should get of the water, and seek shelter on land.
These storms are warned for large hail and damaging winds, and are slowing moving towards Table Rock Lake, and have been effective at producing lightning.
Have multiple ways to get alerts.

Happy Independence Day!
While we get to celebrate the freedoms that calling the U.S.A. home allows us to do today, it is important to stay safe during the celebration.
- It is going to be hot today, make sure you stay cool and hydrated.
- Stay weather aware, on land or water. It is still Missouri in the summer after all.
- Let the professionals handle the big pyrotechnics.
- If you decide to drink with your celebration, make sure you have a designated driver.
Also a few reminders for the Fire and Thunder Firework Show:
- No boats or people within 440 feet of the launching platform.
- Starting at approximately 9:20 p.m. till the end of the show, the Highway 39 bridge over Table Rock Lake will be closed to traffic.
- If you are on land or on water, please use caution when out and about. This is the busiest time of year for Shell K**b, land or water, so make sure to be safe.
CCFPD will be out and about this evening, so feel free to say hi or snap a photo if you see us. As always, if you have an emergency, dial 911!
Enjoy the Fourth of July!
