Prevention is Easier than a Cure: Saving a "Non-Restorable" Tooth 🛡️🦷

This patient was stuck in a "vicious cycle." Because there was no firm, attached gum, plaque was constantly trapped in a loose "pouch" of tissue. This caused deep decay to spread underneath an old filling.

The Risk: If we hadn't intervened, the decay would have eventually made the tooth non-restorable, leading to an extraction. ⚠️

The Fix: 1. We removed the infection and reshaped the old restoration.
2. We performed a gum graft to rebuild the protective seal.

4 Months Later: The tooth is saved, the anatomy is natural, and the patient can easily keep the area clean!
