There's something so captivating about Mark Mentzer's lines and colors. Warm and low saturated, each painting appears to be shrouded in clouds. Along with the particular architecture of homes, each work feels like you are looking out a window into Pittsburgh's neighborhoods.

Mentzer’s work balances structure and intuition with subtle shifts in color, line, and spatial rhythm. While based in the basic elements of design, Mentzer's works are anything but. His layered surfaces and restrained compositions invite extended viewing, revealing depth and complexity through close attention.
