Construction is now complete on the Fremont Siding near Selma, Alabama for Norfolk Southern, where Driven Engineering, Inc. provided civil and track design services.
Our team completed the design in 2024, supporting improvements to enhance corridor capacity and operational flexibility. Construction concluded in 2025 following an accelerated schedule that required ongoing coordination and responsive engineering support. We remained engaged throughout, working closely with the Norfolk Southern design and construction teams to help maintain momentum and meet operational objectives.

There’s something special about watching a dirt road transform into a finished roadway.
Construction is now complete on McDavid Road in Mobile County, and we’re proud of how this project turned out.
This improvement included full roadway reconstruction, open concrete-lined drainage channels on both sides of the road, and numerous driveway pipe installations — each one its own small design challenge to ensure proper drainage and long-term performance.
County road projects may not always make headlines, but their impact is immediate. Paving a dirt road changes how a neighborhood feels. Drainage improves. Access improves.
