Not surprising, international tourism to the U.S. has plummeted sharply this year. And, nowhere is that more evident than in D.C. With the exceptions of a few school groups, the city was relatively empty. Many museums and cultural institutions are at risk by executive orders that target their funding, including the Smithsonian and the National Museum of African American History. My heart weeps for our country.

There are so many passionate, determined, lifelong environmental heroes living in the Capital Region. Barbara Heinzen and her "Barbet's Duet" team, all busy beautifying a parcel of land at the mouth of the Hannacroix Creek and Hudson River, show us what's possible through their efforts!
