With 1 in 5 US adults and 17% of youth (aged 6-17 yrs.) experiencing some form of mental illness, this is a common issue whose significance should not be diminished. In February, the Sholley Insurance Agency was the Tuscarora Wayne Mutual Foundation’s recipient of a $1,000 donation to bestow upon a non-profit of our choice.

We had the privilege of delivering the donation to the Mifflinburg Church of Nazarene, which plays a vital role in the Wildcat Weekend Food Program. This initiative provides meals to students in need at Mifflinburg Elementary and Intermediate Schools, ensuring no child goes hungry.

With 200 students currently in the program and each meal bag costing about $5.75, every contribution makes a difference. At the Sholley Insurance Agency, we are honored to be able to donate $1,000 to this amazing cause and grateful to the Tuscarora Wayne Mutual Foundation for the opportunity to support our community in this way.

Giving back to the community is at the heart of what we do, and we encourage others to join in making an impact!
