Dear Seguin ISD families,

Per Texas House Bill 1481, Seguin ISD has designated that students must have their personal communication devices (cell phones, personal laptops, and other non-school-issued devices) turned off and in their backpacks for the entire school day. District policy does make limited exceptions. Students found in violation of the policy will face consequences, including but not limited to detention and fines.

Seguin ISD’s personal communication device policy will be effective on the first day of school, Tuesday, August 12, 2025.
