“Hello, my name is # # I am currently experiencing homelessness in Pasco County and desperately need emergency help for my dogs both of them they were attacked in a dog fight a few days ago and they have multiple open wounds.

They are also fighting a severe skin infection, gastrointestinal issues, and an ear mite tick and flea. I know both of them have messed up legs from the fight they're both still limping and are very much in pain

I cannot afford veterinary costs right now and am terrified for their safety. I have not given them any unprescribed medications.

But I'm looking for an outlet I know they need help Please let me know if your emergency vet fund can help cover their immediate treatment so I do not lose my companions. My phone number # # # # # # # # you.”

This is an email we received. We reached out our friends at Pasco Animal Services.

This morning we woke up with the best email!! They have reached out to mom and will do what they to help her and the dogs!!

Gina is an awesome animal protector and we can’t wait to see how these pups are helped!

Of course we made sure to let them know to let us know what we can do to help!!

🐾 FINAL BALTO UPDATE A MIRACLE MADE BY THIS COMMUNITY

Hey everyone,

I wanted to share our final update on Balto, and it’s one filled with relief, gratitude, and a whole lot of emotion.

Yesterday was one of the hardest days we’ve had in a long time.

We can’t wait any longer!!

While mom recuperates from exhaustion and an extremely horrific experience, we will spill the tea!!

From being turned away, to receiving attitude when we were already terrified, to making dozens of calls, emails, and messages trying to find someone anyone who could help before it was too late.

The first place even sent Balto home still blocked, and we truly didn’t know if he would make it through the night.

But despite every obstacle…

Despite the fear, the frustration, the heartbreak…

WE SAVED BALTO.

And that is because of this community.

Within minutes, we found an incredible surgeon who stepped in and took immediate action.

They opened Balto’s belly, removed the blockage, and thank God did not have to perform extensive surgery.

Balto is safe. Balto is healing. Balto is going home.

Amber from Coastal Animal Clinic - Tampa hooked us up with her friends at BeBest Friends Animal Hospital & Surgical Centero that Balto could receive life saving surgery!!

As an alumni from Hillsborough County Pet Resource Center was even more important to us that he survive to live the life he was meant to have!!

❤️ But we need to be honest with you…

Acting fast meant acting on emotion, not finances.

Between Balto’s emergency care and Athena’s upcoming consultation on 7/7 for her mass removal, we are now $4,500 deep(about to be $5500-8000 with athena ) in medical bills.

We mention Athena because we don’t just help one family we help the whole community. And right now, we need the community to help us back.

If you can donate, share, or support in any way, it would mean the world.

Every dollar, every share, every kind word makes a difference.
