Photo Greeting Cards

These are mostly after-the-rain photos, taken at Rio del Mar Beach and on another day, at Ano Nuevo State Reserve where the elephant seals are now breeding, birthing and nursing their pups.

Up on the North Coast of Santa Cruz County, there lie some raw, mostly untouched beaches. One of them has some wetlands where Laguna Creek spreads out on the lowlands before entering the ocean. Here are some photos taken after a big storm the day before .

The first 5 of these photos were taken this September on a backpacking trip out of
Horseshoe Meadows in the East Sierra. Two days of acclimating was necessary because the trail started at 10,000 feet and went up from there into the Cottonwood Lakes region. The clouds with the changing light made this trip a photographer's dream.
