Heart full 💚 What an Earth Day to remember!
The first thing that I feel like I need to say about yesterday’s big Earth Day Ribbon Cutting Baler Reveal + Fundraiser at is how nearly every single person who attended was part of the Crowd. It almost felt like a special gift to Brock and I that we got to see and connect with so many Sedona Crowd members unexpectedly on Earth Day.
To me, it reads as members of the Crowd are people who really care — about food waste diversion, about recycling, about Earth Day, about their community, and they show up! 🫶🏻
To see the three founders of Sedona Recycles there and together for the first time in over a decade was momentous. Grateful to be there beside our friends at the Sustainability Team, providing zero-waste refreshments, and the made it an Earth Day event we won’t soon top!

Flagstaff, we are so excited to see you at tomorrow’s big Earth Day celebration at Bushmaster Park starting at 11 AM!
We were sad when last year‘s event was rained out, so we’re even more excited to be in the community for this big moment! It’s super special being in the sustainability world to have events and celebrations dedicated to Earth Day.
It’s a great opportunity to bring attention to the significance of environmental impact and ways that individuals and organizations can continue to increase their sustainability efforts! 🌎🌱♻️💚

Sometimes it’s easy to feel powerless to influence positive change. What we love about composting is that it’s an extremely simple behavior shift that has a massive impact on the planet, our community, the atmosphere, soil quality, water use, and more.
Keeping organic matter like kitchen scraps out of the landfill and returning them to the earth is one of the most powerful things a household, business, restaurant, events can do to increase their environmental responsibility in a meaningful way.
Compost Crowd exists to make that habit as accessible as possible in Sedona and Flagstaff.
