Secaucus High School

This month, S.A.I.L. students took part in the Reading Buddies program at the Secaucus Public Library, where they spent time reading to young children in the community.

The students shared a variety of children’s books, helping to create a fun and engaging experience for the young listeners. Their enthusiasm and patience encouraged the children to enjoy reading while building confidence and literacy skills.

This May, students from S.A.I.L. and Rotary Interact Club demonstrated the true spirit of community service by volunteering at the Hoboken Shelter. The students spent their evening helping individuals and families in need through donations and hands-on service.

As part of their outreach efforts, the students donated food and clothing items to support shelter guests. In addition, they worked together to prepare a meal for more than 100 guests and proudly served the meal to those staying at the shelter.

Their compassion, teamwork, and dedication made a meaningful impact on the community and reflected the importance of helping others. Shelter staff expressed gratitude for the students’ generosity and willingness to give their time to support those in need.

The volunteer experience provided students with an opportunity to connect with the community while learning the value of service, kindness, and leadership. Through their efforts, S.A.I.L. and Rotary Interact students helped bring comfort and care to many guests at the Hoboken Shelter.

Members of the Literary Clubs have been hard at work designing and compiling our 25-26 issue of the Literary Magazine Student Snippets. We are pleased to share with you this stunning issue that showcases the writing and artistic talent of our unique student population.
