When we travel to new destinations, we may be travelling solo or with family, but in many ways we are carrying our culture & representing our country.

How we behave in public spaces, how we interact with locals, the rules we follow - everything reflects our values, our awareness, and the respect we carry for others and for the places we visit.

With over *25 million* outbound trips annually and one of the fastest-growing international travel populations, the way we Indians travel (& interact) is going to shape how our country is globally perceived.

I recently went on a trip with 30 international travellers, and while no group of people is perfect, the experience gave me a lot to reflect on. Being the only Indian national in the group, here are some things that I learned and intend to incorporate in my own journeys abroad. 🌻💛

Have you seen this side of Greece?🇬🇷

It’s my 2nd time travelling around this region, and there’s still so much to learn and explore here. One moment, I’m hiking the Arcadian Highlands, and the next moment I’m kayaking in the cerulean waters of the Mediterranean Sea. 🌊🛶

I’ve stayed in traditional mountain villages where the population doesn’t exceed 200. I’ve cycled along the coastline with local cyclists who shared beautiful stories of their region. I’ve been served the most delicious regional food, often cooked just for me. As a vegan, it was such a joy.🥹❣️

This is Peloponnese - rarely talked about, but such an incredible place that continues to offer diverse, authentic experiences to travellers. And it doesn’t give you all of this at once. It asks you to return. Again and again. And each time, it shows you a different side of itself.💚

Here’s our FINAL episode of our mini eco-series ‘Wildly Sensitised,’ where we share stories from the wild. 🦋🌴

More than anything, this series has taught us to be more aware of the changes in our environment - to speak more openly about the climate crisis, and to think/talk/share more about wildlife loss and its ripple effects on our food systems and the world we all depend on. 🌿

The many hours that went into researching, recollecting, and compiling all anecdotes into a storytelling series was intense but fulfilling. Overall, it encouraged us to become mindful of our small actions that can have a big impact on our beautiful, fragile Earth. 🌍💚

We truly hope this series triggered in you some form of sensitivity for the changing wild - whether new insights or a gentle reminder of what already matters. And we urge you to think about the animals we share this world with.

It’s their home too… and it always has been... 🐅🐬
