🌟Don’t miss out on today’s free Live Webinar with LeafWorks’ co-founder and CSO, Kerin Law, PhD, discussing:

•How advances in sequencing technology at LeafWorks have fundamentally changed what DNA testing can deliver for botanical identification today.

•Current best practices in botanical DNA identification with a focus on real-world application.

•The strengths of DNA testing for species identification and its role within an integrated testing strategy. Both qualitative and quantitative DNA analyses will be discussed, including guidance on when each approach is most appropriate.

•LeafWorks’ new single-prep, multi-endpoint DNA analysis, a globally-accessable model that expands analytical scope without redundant sample preparation, improving efficiency, cost control, and scalability.

We’re excited for Day 3 of ICSB Oxford 2026! Join LeafWorks’ Nick Batora at 1:00-1:20pm today in OCC Auditorium, to learn about Canndor Herbarium, the first dedicated cannabis herbarium. Founded in 2016, Canndor provides a lasting repository for the taxonomic, genetic, and morphological diversity of cultivars and landraces within the species. Included in this talk:

-A case study using herbarium vouchers collected from 2017 through 2022 to investigate natural variation in leaf morphology.
-A highlight of the expanding utility of the herbarium for studies that rely on accurate cultivar identification, including its essential role in confirming clonal identity for field and greenhouse experiments, where ensuring that plants are true to type is critical for reproducible results, meaningful comparisons across studies, and enforcement of material transfer agreements.

Where: OCC Auditorium, Session 11A (“Cannabis Science: Identity, Diversity, and Botanical Research”)
When: 1:00-1:20pm
