I'm feeling more isolated today than I have since physical distancing began. Today marks the first day all parks, beaches and open spaces are closed in our county. Even with physical distance from loved ones, being in nature was my daily reminder of how connected we are-always.

Today I'm missing you friends, I'm mourning. Missing passing smiles on the trails and long hugs just because. I'm missing the warmth of little friends' hands grabbing mine and squeals of excitement over the magic most adults have forgotten-frost in the morning, dandelions, caterpillars, a line of baby quail.

Yet today HAS been so full of magic. Today it hailed and Leo and I had a "snow ball" fight. Today we planted apple seeds and soaked seeds to to grow gourds that make beautiful bird houses. Today we snuggled, read books, cooked oatmeal, and had a video dance party. Today is a beautiful day and we're so blessed.

Today I need extra reminders that this is just for now, and there is breathtaking beauty in this too.

We are all connected through spirit. There are no walls that can truly keep up apart. My heart beats with yours. My spirit shines with yours. No matter how long this lasts, we will be ok and we will be together again.

When Sally asked if we could celebrate her power chakra by working with orange smoke I started giddily vibrating with excitement. Yus!

I lived decades of my life without a sense of how truly strong and resilient I am. I spent decades saying yes when I meant no. I didn't know how to hold my boundaries, speak my truth, or stand up for myself. It's amazing how I've grown in just the passed 5 years. I learned to become my own mama bear. I learned where my boundaries are drawn and that fiercely holding them was a gift, not something to be ashamed of. I learned how to spread my own goddess wings and dance, with fire among many other things. This journey brought me to goddess photography, and creating art with orange smoke swirling around a POWERFUL goddess named Sally.
