Erosion gullies are commonplace in the beautiful hills of Sonoma county. This restoration project by PA implements planting native species appropriate for these ephemeral stream conditions, and a series of check dams to further slow the water. This allows our willows, cattails, and other erosion-preventing species to establish and hold down the streambank. After a couple years, you can see it's coming along nicely! Adding beauty and preventing sediment from polluting our waterways.
