The Seattle Symphony performs over 200 concerts and serves more than 500,000 people each season — and our volunteers play an important part in everything we do. Volunteers are our ambassadors, ushers, pre-concert activity champions, educational program support, friends, members and so much more!
We spoke to a few to hear why they choose to volunteer with us, and the answers were so heartwarming! From uplifting classical music to making unexpected friends, each of our volunteers gets something a little different out of volunteering with us — but we feel like the real winners.

Construction in progress!✨🔨
Alongside the final concerts of the season, exciting signs of the Amplify project can be seen at Benaroya Hall. The new Overlook Lounge is getting its ceiling, while the café and expanded gathering spaces are coming to life through framing, electrical and plumbing work — all underway. On July 13, we’ll close for the summer, opening again in September. We can't wait to share these new spaces with you in person, but in the meantime, check out these pics for a preview of what’s to come. 🎶
