A few behind the scenes pics of a large project I just finished up for this week- weighted lavender eye pillows! (Look at that absolute mountain of fabric 👀)

Tonight I’m going to finish cleaning my studio and then slap one across my own eyes (using it cold out of the freezer is fabulous) while I try to avoid doomscrolling!

Unboxed! This lovely, new semi-industrial Brother sewing machine (PQ1500SL for those interested) was a Christmas/birthday present from my husband & kiddos back in December and I finally, FINALLY!! Have her unboxed and running. (too much travel) I started out slowly with a couple cute, little pinch purses and I am thrilled. Up next? A tote bag.

Happy Halloween 🎃
It’s been a busy fall but I am trying to find my way back to the sewing machine so I picked an easy project that I thought I would whip out in no time: napkins & place mats. Well, here we are on the last day of the month and I finally finished the napkins. So. Yay me? At least the place mats got finished last weekend so we could enjoy using them. If nothing else I have 8 of each for next year.
And, of course, I had to photo them with the plate and cup my mom made for me when I was 4.

After the successful first attempt with the polka dots, I moved onto the actual project I need to sew. Love how this bag looks in this Rifle Paper Co. canvas.
This bag is designed to carry a large water bottle and features a front pocket with card slots and two slip pockets that are roomy enough for a phone. An adjustable strap means you can wear this bag as a cross body or regular over the shoulder bag.
So very pleased with the final results for this !
I made a matching key fob wristlet as this bag and water bottle are off to be part of a fundraiser for Gwen’s new hockey team.
