POV: Community building makes it out of the group chat.

Our friends at Communities Rise hosted a meaningful event for the community, filled with deep learning and discussion.

At the Growing Solidarity event:
✨ Community organizers came together to teach us about mutual aid
✨ The space gave folks a chance to think about what building community looks like in practice
✨ Folks shared their stories and experiences of caring for their own communities

Special shout-out to our fellow Delta Vision Project partners that supported the event: Communities Rise, Alphabet Alliance of Color - AAoC, Byrd Barr Place, Latino Community Fund of Washington State, and the Center for Ethical Leadership . Delta Vision Project is a group of BIPOC folks working in capacity-building orgs around the Puget Sound area.

This event was hosted at El Centro de la Raza. Thank you to our speakers from National Day Laborer Organizing Network, Movemento Congoles Angolano, Social Justice Fund NW, and Creative Justice.
